Hale Platform – Milperra, NSW

PACE Architects was engaged as Lead Architectural Consultant for the construction delivery of Hale’s Platform development at 339–349 Horsley Road, Milperra NSW — a major multi-level industrial and logistics facility delivered by Vaughan Constructions.

Following the success of other multi-level developments within the Hale portfolio, Platform represents the continued evolution of high-density industrial development in Sydney, responding to increasingly constrained industrial land through efficient vertical planning and sophisticated logistics solutions.

PACE was responsible for leading the architectural construction documentation, design development and multidisciplinary coordination, working closely with Vaughan Constructions, Hale and the wider consultant and subcontractor team to see the project through construction to completion.

The approximately 37,500m² development comprises 10 flexible industrial tenancies, with the ability to amalgamate units to accommodate larger occupiers. Tenancies range from approximately 2,900m² to more than 10,000m², providing flexibility for a diverse range of industrial and logistics operations.

The facility incorporates two levels of warehousing, supported by four levels of corporate office accommodation, mezzanine car parking and an external heavy-vehicle ramp providing direct access to the upper warehouse level. Generous 30-metre-wide breezeways provide undercover loading and operational areas across both levels.

Designed to accommodate B-Double vehicle movements, the development integrates high-capacity industrial floor loading, generous warehouse clearances, ESFR fire sprinkler protection and carefully coordinated heavy-vehicle circulation to create a highly functional multi-level logistics environment.

Sustainability was also integral to the development, incorporating initiatives including rooftop photovoltaic solar generation and rainwater harvesting, with the project targeting a minimum 4 Star Green Star rating.

Completed in Q2 2025, Platform demonstrates what can be achieved when architecture, engineering, construction and logistics planning are considered as one integrated solution.
